Today we released a new version of Socialbrowse that fixes minor bugs and introduces a convenient new feature: opening your feed links in a new tab! While one loyal Socialbrowse user beat us to the punch with a blog post about it, I'll expand on it a bit more here as well.

In the latest update, you can choose to open links from the sidebar feed into a new tab rather than replacing the contents of the existing tab. Since Firefox doesn't treat the sidebar content as typical links, we were forced to add it as a separate option. To toggle this option, in Firefox go to Tools->Add-ons and click "Preferences" or "Options" for Socialbrowse.
Firefox will automatically let you know when you can install the latest version. If you initially installed Socialbrowse from our homepage, the upgrade should already be available for you. If you installed via the Firefox add-ons page, you'll have to wait a couple days until the Firefox staff approves the latest change into their add-ons directory.
